Utusan Malaysia is a newspaper very popular in Malaysia published in Malay language.Utusan Malaysia is formely know as "Utusan Melayu". This newspaper was first launched and printed in Singapore on May 29,1939 and is the No.1 selling Malay-language daily today in Malaysia. AC Nielson in early 2005 conducted a poll survey on Malaysian publications, according to which Utusan Malaysia and its sister newspaper, Mingguan Malaysia, had maximum number of readers in Malaysia and its still maintained.
Utusan Malaysia is considered distinctive for its blue masthead logo and trademark. Utusan Malaysia has over 32 pages of news and current affairs, with regular supplements, focusing on such diverse topics as entertainment, fashion, music, health, and technology.
The broadsheet was the first of four newspapers, published by the Utusan Group (Kumpulan Utusan), established in 1938 in Singapore as "Utusan Melayu Press Limited". In February 1958, five months after Malaya gained Independence from the British government, Utusan Melayu moved its headquarters and operations to Kuala Lumpur, the nation's capital. As at 2005, its head office is housed at No. 46M, Jalan Lima Melalui Jalan Chan Sow Lin, 55200 Kuala Lumpur.
