Nainital is a tourist place in the state of Uttaranchal in India.During my college time I went there for a tour with my friend,Amit kalra.Nainital is the 'Lake District'of India.Its a place of scenic beauty blessed with varied natural resources.My friend is just crazy about the natural beauty of Nainital and use to visit there almost every 6 months. I went with him for the first time.It was an awesome experiance to visit there and spend time at a place which is almost like heaven on earth.Crossing the important places in the District like Haldwani , Kaladhungi , Ramnagar , Bhowali , Ramgarh , Mukteshwar , Bhimtal , Sattal and Naukuchiatal, we reached Nainital early morning by bus.The bus stopped near the most prominent of the lakes in Nainital,Naini lake,which is ringed by hills.Naini is a Lake located at the middle of the city of Nainital. As we came out of the bus the sun was far up in the sky, and the cool, fresh mountain air seemed like heaven's nectar after the poisonous air of Delhi, and I wanted to savour every drop of it.Chirping of birds in the early morning gave me enormous peace and joy.Naked children were enjoying swimming and bathing and many of them were just diving into the Naini Lake from a height.Without any delay I just took my seat on green grass and sat near the Lake to enjoy the sweet sound of water waves in the lake which were jumping up and down at regular intervals.My friend urged me to book a hotel first.But I didnt want to pass those beautiful moments of early sunrise and morning calmness in Hotel.So I just told him to relax a bit there and he too agreed,being a nice friend of mine.We enjoyed the pleasent morning near the lake as the touch of air was light, cool and refreshing, and yet it sent an occasional chilly shiver down one's spine.But ultimately we checked in at hotel "Naini Shower" to enjoy a relaxed bath and lunch, before setting out to explore the beauties of nature that Nainital had in store for us. After leaving the Hotel we first went to "Sat Tal" which is 25 km away from Nainital and is a complex of seven natural lakes with good angling prospects.After that we went to "Naukuchiatal" which is 27 km away from Nainital and is a vast nine-cornered lake, pristine and pleasant where migratory birds gather.The visit to "Naini Peak", which is approx 6 km away and is the highest point within Nainital and commands a superb view of the Himalayas,was most enjoyable.We took there many snap shots of natural beauty from the peak through our video Camera.Its the place you dont want to get out.At 2611 meters this is the highest peak bordering the lake. A popular picnic spot which offers a panoramic view of the resort.We also went to "Hanuman Garhi" which is a place of religious interest, also great for viewing the setting sun.From there we went to "Dorothy Seat" & "Tiffin Top" which is a peak located at a distance of 4 Kms from the town.Tiffin Top commands an excellent view of the Himalayas as well as the neighboring country side. Dorothy seat a memorial to an English lady painter Dorothy Kellet build by her husband an admirers after her death.We also visited "Naina peak" which is also called "China Peak" and is the highest peak of the town , at an altitude of 2611 mts. and at a distance of 6 Kms from the town .It commands an entrancing view of sparkling snow laden Himalayas from Bandar Punch in west to Api and Nari peaks of Nepal in the east , a full Himalayan range in one side and a birds eye view of the lake city of Nainital in its full grandeur on the other. Than we returned back to Nainital in the evening and went to Mall Road, which encircles the Naini Lake at the heart of the town, and is dotted by numerous shops, many of them selling decorative candles for souvenirs. We queued for the joy-ride on the famous rope-way, that carried us to Snow-view peak, high up in the mountains from where the view of the valley and the town spread in its lap, is breathtakingly beautiful.Returning below, we went boating in the Naini Lake which was very enjoyable.We also met many of our other friends there like Rohan,Mohan,Vineet,Michael,David Boon,Kapil,Rahul,Kishan,Rajesh,Ganesh,Monty,Jackson etc.We also met there Amitabh Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit there as they were doing a film shooting there.
