1)NOKIA:
Nokia Corporation NYSE: NOKIA is one of the world's largest telecommunications equipment manufacturers. With headquarters in Keilaniemi of Espoo, Finland, this Finnish telecommunications company is best known today for its leading range of mobile phones. Nokia also produces mobile phone infrastructure and other telecommunications equipment for applications such as traditional voice telephony, ISDN, broadband access, professional mobile radio, voice over IP, wireless LAN, a line of digital terrestrial television receivers and satellite receivers.Nokia provides mobile communication equipment for every major market and protocol, including GSM, CDMA, and WCDMA.
2)SAMSUNG:
Samsung was founded in 1969, and one of its subsidiaries, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. is one of the largest electronics companies in the world. Founded in Daegu, South Korea, it operates in around 58 countries and has over 208,000 workers. The turnover in 2003 was about 101.7 billion USD. Samsung is recognized as being one of the top 20 brands in the world.
At present, Samsung Electronics operates in 5 business areas, namely Telecommunications (Mobile Handsets and Network), Digital and Home Appliances (including washing machines, microwave ovens, refrigerators, VHS and DVD players, etc), Digital Media, LCD, and Semiconductors.
3)Sony Ericsson:
Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB (Sony Ericsson) is a joint venture established in 2001 by the Japanese consumer electronics company Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. Both companies have stopped making their own mobile phones, letting the new company use Sony's knowledge in customer electronics and Ericsson's know-how in cellular technology.
The company's global management is based in London, it has R&D in Sweden, Japan, China, the United States and the United Kingdom, and in total has approximately 5,000 employees worldwide. The current President is Miles Flint, and the Corporate Executive Vice President is a Ericsson veteran Jan Wäreby.

4)Motorola:
Motorola NYSE: MOT (TYO: 6686) is a global communications company based in Schaumburg, Illinois, a Chicago suburb.Mobile Devices is the largest and most visible business at Motorola. It focuses on small devices that enable people to always stay in touch, wherever they are.
The company started as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation in 1928. The name of the company was changed to Motorola in 1947, but the word had been used as a trademark since the 1930s. Founder Paul Galvin came up with the name Motorola when his company started manufacturing car radios (a number of early companies making phonographs, radios, and other audio equipment in the early 20th century used the suffix "-ola", the most famous being Victrola; there was also the film editing device called a Moviola).Many of Motorola's products have been radio-related, starting with a battery eliminator for radios, through the first walkie-talkie in the world, defense electronics, cellular infrastructure equipment, and mobile phone manufacturing.
5)Panasonic(Matsushita Electric):
Panasonic is the global brand name for consumer electronics and other electric products manufactured by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. of Japan. The Panasonic name was created in 1955 and was first used as a brand for audio speakers. In more recent history, Matsushita Electric has begun manufacturing more expensive television and Audio/Video equipment in addition to their entry-level offerings, and as of Fall 2004, is using the Panasonic brand name worldwide. They manufacture LCD,mobile phones, Plasma and Tube television sets, DVD players, VCRs, portable CD and analog tape decks and home stereo equipment, all of which is marketed under the slogan Ideas for Life.
6)Philips:
Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. (Royal Dutch Philips Electronics Ltd.), usually known as Philips, is one of the largest consumer electronics producers in the world. In 2004, their sales were € 30.3 billion and they employed 161,586 people in more than 60 countries. Philips is organized in a number of divisions: Philips Consumer Electronics, Philips Semiconductors,Philips mobile phones, Philips Lighting, Philips Medical Systems and Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal Care.Philips is one of the leading manufacturers of mobile phones or cell phones.
7)Siemens:
Siemens AG NYSE: SI is the world's largest electronics company. Its international headquarters are in Munich, Germany. Siemens AG is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and also on the New York Stock Exchange since March 12, 2001.Siemens cellular telephones were very early mobile phones, produced by Siemens AG. The company created the first phone with a colour screen, the S10 (3 different colours - red, green and blue - could be displayed), the first slider phone (the SL10) and probably the first phone with an MP3 player (Siemens SL45).

LG is a large South Korean chaebol (conglomerate), producing electronics (including domotics), mobile phones, and petrochemical products.
9)Sanyo:
Sanyo Electric Co. Ltd. (TYO: 6764), (NASDAQ: SANYY) is an electronics company in Moriguchi, Osaka prefecture, Japan targeting the middle of the market.Sanyo is also a huge manufacturer of mobile phones or cell phones in different models.
10)SK Teletech:
SK Teletech is a Korean company specialising in manufacturing mobile phone terminals. It is part of the SK Group and was established in 1998.Its market is mainly domestic, but SK Teletech also has interests in Israel, China and Taiwan. The main technology to date has been CDMA but there are plans to expand into other areas.
11)Alcatel:
Alcatel SA NYSE: Alcatel is a global company, headquartered in France that provides hardware, software and services to telecommunications service providers and enterprises. Alcatel sells equipment for mobile and fixed voice communication networks, data networks and television and video delivery.Mobile phone manufacturers as well.
12)Audiovox:
Audiovox (NASDAQ: VOXX) is an electronics company. They operate under the brands Audiovox, Jensen, and Advent. Products include car audio, home audio,mobile phones and home electronics.On November 1, 2004, Audiovox sold their cell phone subsidiary Audiovox Communications Corp to UTStarcom.
13)Kyocera(formly handset division of Qualcomm):
Kyocera Corporation (???, Kyo-Sera, also known as Kyoto Ceramics) (TYO: 6971), NYSE: KYO is a Japanese company based in Kyoto, Japan. They were founded in 1959 by Kazuo Inamori. They produce ceramics- and printing-related devices, as well as a comprehensive line of imaging products, 35mm and medium format cameras. In January 2000 Kyocera acquired photocopier manufacturer Mita Industrial, and a month later they bought the mobile phone manufacturing operations of San Diego, California-based Qualcomm.
14)Sagem:
SAGEM (Société d’Applications Générales de l’Electricité et de la Mécanique) was a major French company involved in defence electronics, consumer electronics and communication systems.In the 1980s and 90s Sagem expanded aggressively into the telecommunications such as mobile phones and consumer electronics industries.
