First Love of Radha Kishan : Nargis Dutt Love 1957. Film: Mother India. And the character Radha was so powerful, the actress, who played the role got her the Filmfare Best Actress Award. She was Nargis Dutt. Her orginal name was Fatima Rashid and was born in Kolkatta (known earlier as Calcutta) on June 1, 1929. Fatima has started her career as a child artiste in Talashe Haq in 1935 at the age of six. Her stage name was Nargis and she was known as Baby Nargis. And the name continued. Nargis Dutt love for acting got her leading roles in 1940s. Many movies like Barsaat, Andaz, Awaara, Deedar, Shree 420, Chori Chori were huge success stories. Most of the producers wanted Raj Kapoor-Nargis Dutt love story or Dilip Kumar-Nargis Dutt love story. Nargis Dutt love for arts is natural as she was daughter of Allahabad-based Muslim thumri singer, Jaddanbai and Uttamchand Mohanchand. Even her brother Anwar Hussain was into acting and acted in few films. She was married to actor Sunil Dutt. Son, Sanjay Dutt is an established actor today. Her daughter, Namrata is married to Kumar Gaurav, who himself is an actor and son of another popular of yesteryears, Rajendra Kumar. Nargis Dutt and Raj Kapoor had great chemistry on screen and all their movies were received well by the audience. This chemistry seems to have resulted in real life Raj kapoor-Nargis Dutt love. However, Raj Kapoor was already married and did not result in a happy ending. Nargis acted with Sunil Dutt in Balraj Sahni's Do Bigha Zameen. However, while the movie Mother India was under shooting, interestingly Sunil Dutt, playing the role of Nargis's son, fell in love with her and proposed to her. Nargis accepted and thus started Sunil Dutt-Nargis Dutt love story of real life in 1958. The couple had three children Namrata, Priya and Sanjay Dutt. Nargis had her share of awards. The role in Mother India portraying Nargis dutt love of a mother, won her Filmfare Best Actress Award in 1957. She also won National Film Awards for Best Actress for her performance in a 1968 film Raat Aur Din. She also was the recipient of Urvashi Award, Karlovy Wary Award, Padma Shri and Best Artist of the Millennium award ( along with Amitabh Bachchan.). Either as Neena in Andaz in 1949 or as Rita in Awaara in 1951 or as Radha in Mother India in 1957, we can see the Nargis Dutt love flowing and touching the hearts of millions of movie goers. She acted in more than 50 movies between 1935 -1967. Nargis Dutt's father Mohanchand wanted to be a Doctor. Even Nargis dreamt to become one, but she was destined to treat the hindi movie lovers. Nurgis Dutt love for Medical field did not die and she continued to visit various hospitals to meet doctors and help patients.. Unfortunately, she died of pancreatic cancer on May 3, 1981 in Mumbai. The family decided to leave a mark of Nargis Dutt love for fellow cancer patients, by establishing Nargis Dutt Memorial Foundation. This foundation has helped many hospitals and organization with funds and equipment. The benefactors include Spastics Society(Bombay), Tuberculosis Association of India (New Delhi), Tata Memorial Hospital(Bombay), Sundrani Charitable Eye Hospital(Agra), Karnataka Cancer Therapy and Research Institute(Hubli, Karnataka), Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital(Bhopal), Dr. Rasiklal Shah Sarvajanik Hospital(Modasa), Cancer Institute (Gwalior), Miraj Medical Center (Miraj), Mobile Cancer Hospitals in Mumbai and New Delhi etc. Nargis thus remains in the hearts of many even after her death. To be true I want a movie created for my love story at the home page of the site and my dream girl in the love story will be Nargis Dutt in the movie. I have such an earnest desire. So I am looking for a directory who can take my love story and create a film on it.
