First Love story of Radha Kishan : Love letters : Love letter to a Darling
Darling Pooja,
Glad to receive your letter by your younger brother.As blossoms to the boughs, so are you to me, my beloved. We have been loving each other long and happily. Your eyes are the lotus, your hands have the grace of butter and I mistake your face for the moon. But my sweetest, how long shall we continue like this? Rumours are already there about our romance. We should marry before our love is given the shape of a scandal by our enemies and society to which we both belong.
You should not be afraid of our father. Are you afraid of the society? Our love is genuine. It has stood the test of time and would stand any number of such other tests whether social or communal. Barriers of money, caste and creed have no meaning for us. I can give you social emotional and financial security, you know it very well.
I may be poor in comparison to your wealthy father. But I dont lack the means to provide you with all the essential amenities of life. My ardent love and passionate attachment for you is capable to provide you with that happiness and joy, which all the wealth of the world may not provide you. Let our secret love affair be transformed into an open marriage. Let it be solemnized, earlier the better. It will arm us against all the odds of life.
We can go for a civil marriage, if you so like. I know how brave and liberal-minded a girl you are! The difference between our parents should not dampen your high spirits any more.
Bees have stings, though be not great;
Seas have their source, and so have shallow springs;
And love is love, in beggars and in kings.
The lowest trees have tops, the ant her gall,
The fly her spleen, the little spark his heat,
The slender hairs cast shadows, though but small,
Where waters smoothest run, the deepest are the fords,
The dial stirs, yet none perceives it move;
The firmest faith is found in fewer words;
The turtle do not sing, and yet they love;
True hearts have ears and eyes, no tongues to speak;
They hear and see, and sigh, and then they break;
So darling be courageous and come forward for a civil marriage. Darling I am counting the days and the hours till we are united in marriage.
Devotedly only your's
Rajat sharma
