Gary Jules is a great American song-writer and singer. He was born on March 19, 1969 in Fresno, California. His full name is Gary Jules Aguirre. He was a student of The Bishop's School in La Jolla, California, and later studied B.A. in English at UCLA. His father is known by the name Gary Aguirre and his mother is Marie Aguirre.Jules and his friend Michael Andrews were the first to record a remake of Tears for Fears' third single "Mad World" for the movie called Donnie Darko.
In the month of December in the year 2003, after 2 years Donnie Darko was finally released. "Mad World" was finally on the top of the charts and became the Christmas No.1 in the United Kingdom. In the early periods of the year 2004, the song became very popular in the US and Canada. The song was sung on popular American TV shows, such as Without A Trace (Season Two Episode One, "The Bus"), ER, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Smallville (Season Two Episode Eleven, "Visage"), and was also used in a trailer and commercial for the Xbox 360 game Gears of War. His song "Something Else" was used in Alias Season 3 and Scrubs (TV series) Season 5.
Some of his early projects / bands were The Ivory Knights, Our Town Pansies, Woodenfish, Kofi, and The Origin.
