De Gogh La Oreja Van-By Radha KishanDe Gogh La Oreja Van is a Spanish pop band which was formed in 1996, when the great guitarist Pablo Benegas, Bassist Álvaro Fuentes, Keyboardist Xabi San Martín, and drummer Haritz Garde were sitting together in a local university.This is a Latin Grammy winner Spanish pop band from Donostia-San Sebastian.I heard this band and I am a great lover of this band.There is a famous painter named Vincent van Gogh who took off the lobe of his own ear.The name of the band references him.The main writer of their poetic songs, including lyrics and music, is Amaia Montero in collaboration with Pablo Benegas and Xabi San Martín.The songs are usually based on the theme of love, friendship, and whatever can occur in relationships between men and women. The first Album, Dile Al Sol, launched by De Gogh La Oreja Van in 1998 won the Premio Ondas al Artista del Año and it was placed on the top position in Spanish music charts. After going for many tours, De Gogh La Oreja Van released 2 more albums, El Viaje De Copperpot (Copperpot's Journey) and Lo Que Te Conté Mientras Te Hacías La Dormida (What I Told You While You Were Pretending To Be Asleep).They also launched two DVDs: La Oreja De Van Gogh with material from their first two records, and a live performance called Lo que te Conté Mientras te Hacias la Dormida: Gira 2003.In order to celebrate their 10th anniversary on 25 April 2006, De Gogh La Oreja Van released their 4th album Guapa (Pretty), as well as a special box-set with all their previous works in one elegantly decorated box - LOVG.But most of their albums since their first, Dile Al Sol is containing "hidden" or "extra" tracks which is not officially listed with the rest of the songs.
